Golf betting - Harrington 'pushes for BMW win'

Two-time British Open champion Padraig Harrington has said he is looking for a victory as he gears up for the BMW Championship at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Illinois this week.

The Irishman told John Bush of PGA Tour.com that he is "pushing to get a win" at the moment at a time of year when he traditionally finds his form.

Last August, he won his third Major at the US PGA Championship and has turned in some strong performances in recent weeks, narrowly losing to Tiger Woods at the Bridgestone Invitational after being in a winning position heading into the final nine holes.

And he goes into BMW Championship, the third leg of the FedEx Cup, as one of the favourites to take the title at 14/1 with Betfred(Go to Betfred »).

Odds of 14/1 are also available on Steve Stricker at Stan James(Go to Stan James »), while world number one Woods is 7/4 to win at the same bookmaker.
