Golf Odds - Vivendi Trophy Will Be Fun, Says McIlroy
Rory McIlroy has suggested he is looking forward to the Vivendi Trophy team golf competition this week.The 20-year-old Northern Irishman is the top-ranked player in the Great Britain and Ireland side and told the press he expects to enjoy himself when they go up against Continental Europe today.
"When you get into weeks like this it makes you realise how special team golf is," he remarked. "It's a lot of fun."
McIlroy also indicated that playing in a group can help to make a golfer more determined, as they not only want to do the best for themselves, but for their teammates as well.
Despite his bright outlook, however, the bookmakers appear to be expecting defeat for Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Robert Karlsson, last year's top player in Europe, is set to make his return to golf during the event, after four months on the sidelines for an eye injury.
