Golf Betting News - Monty Looking For Woods Ryder Cup Win

European captain Colin Montgomerie has claimed he wants Tiger Woods to be part of the US Ryder Cup squad because beating a side with him in it will be a greater achievement.

Montgomerie's men are currently 10/11 favourites with 888Sport(Go to 888sport ») for the 2010 event at Celtic Manor and the 46-year-old Scotsman praised Woods' talents in the collective format of the sport, which saw him take five out of five matches at the recent Presidents Cup.

"It's very interesting that he seems to have this team game down as well as the individual one now," he remarked, adding: "We're all thrilled... well the Americans are!"

According to Montgomerie, the world number one poses a difficult threat and the 11 players in the European line-up must perform to the best of their ability to win.

It will be hard enough to beat the US side without Woods, he added.
