Golf Betting - Furyk Favourite For JT Open

Jim Furyk is currently the favourite with most bookmakers to win the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas, despite finishing two strokes off the leaders in the first round.

Bet365(Go to Bet365 ») has the tournament's highest-ranked player at 5/1 to make up ground and win the competition, while joint-first place Troy Matteson is second favourite at 12/1 with Victor Chandler(Go to VCBet »).

Commenting on his performance, Furyk said: "It was a slow start, but I don't know if it was a rough start. You just have to stay patient, a lot of it is your mental frame."

Matteson finished on nine under par for the opening stage, alongside fellow Americans 50-year-old Tom Pernice Jnr and Spencer Levin.

Pernice recorded a bogey-free round on his way to being joint top, while Levin hit seven birdies and an eagle at the TPC Summerlin course.
