Golf Betting - McIlroy Favourite For Dubai

A second-place finish in the Hong Kong Open has placed Rory McIlroy as the favourite to win golf's Race to Dubai title.

McIlroy's late charge saw him gain ground on eventual winner Gregory Bourdy, holing below par on five of the final nine holes.

However, the 17th proved to be his undoing as some nervy putting saw him notch up a bogey.

McIlroy said of the three-putt bogey: "It was a bit of an anxious putt on the 17th but, apart from that, it was a really good round of golf."

Bourdy's own round of 67 was enough to retain the top spot, completing the competition at 19 under par for a two-shot victory.

Following the results of the Hong Kong Open, McIlroy's odds shortened to 19/2 on both Betfair(Go to Betfair ») and Betdaq(Go to Betdaq »).

Closest rival Lee Westwood drifted slightly on both of the betting sites, taking him to 29/2 on each.
