McIlroy Looking To Future After Meeting Nicklaus
Rory McIlroy has spoken of how a conversation with golfing legend Jack Nicklaus has helped refocus his mind. The 20-year-old will play in the World Golf Championship CA event this week, where Paddy Power(Go to Paddy Power ») has him at 7/2 to finish as the best placed player from Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
McIlroy noted that "It was an unbelievable experience, probably the best 90 minutes I've spent in a long time", after he was asked about his meeting with the Golden Bear.
It was also revealed that the young Northern Irishman has sought out the help of American sports psychologist Bob Rotella in an effort to recapture his killer instinct.
It has been 13 months since his debut win and he stated that working with Rotella will help him become more "clinical" during the big moments.
The lowest price offered for him to lift the title this weekend is 20/1 with Totesport(Go to Totesport »), who make Phil Mickelson the favourite to defend his title.
