Tiger Woods 'way Behind In Quail Hollow Championship'

Tiger Woods is still trying to recapture his form after an opening round of 74 left him two shots behind at the Quail Hollow Championship.

After the first 18 holes, Woods is 14/1 with Totesport(Go to Totesport »), while the recent Masters champion Phil Mickelson is the 5/1 favourite with Extrabet(Go to Extrabet ») after shooting a 70.

It is only the world number one's second tournament back since his self-imposed exile from the sport due to personal issues.

He said: "I hit a bunch of balls left, I hit a bunch of balls right, hit a few down the middle and that was about it."

After he observed that he did not play very fluidly, Woods admitted that he just "did not have it today".

Bo Van Pelt is the current leader in the event, after going through ten different putters over the last eight weeks as he tried to find one that suited him, before settling on the one he had started with.
