Tiger Woods: I Need To Find Form

Tiger Woods' reign at the top of golf's world rankings is under threat unless he can find some form.

After missing the cut at his last tournament, Woods knows that he must record a top-five finish in order to guarantee he holds onto the position.

He is the17/2 favourite with Sportingbet(Go to Sportingbet ») to emerge victorious from the Players Championship - the unofficial fifth major.

Phil Mickelson is 8/1 with Expekt(Go to Expekt ») and the Masters winner knows that victory at Sawgrass could be enough to move him up to world number one.

"We've been going at it for 13 years. It's gone in streaks," Woods proclaimed. "Right now he's won a few and hopefully I can win a few myself."

He added that it has been difficult for him as he continues his comeback and rebuked claims that he had ever taken any sort of performance-enhancing drugs, after a Sports Illustrated survey claimed that 24 per cent of his fellow PGA Tour golfers suspected that he had.
