DeGale v Groves Rematch Betting
George Groves produced an inspired display of boxing on Saturday night to beat Olympic champion and British titleholder James DeGale with a majority points decision.
Although DeGale said prior to the fight the he did not wish to have his name mentioned alongside Groves’ following the weekend the 25-year-old is now keen to get back in the ring with his old sparring partner.
"To me it feels like I didn't lose properly. It feels like he's nicked the title off me," DeGale said after the fight. "Hopefully we can get the rematch. I don't know. But that's what I want, straight away."
Groves, however, is not so keen having already defeated DeGale once at amateur level he feels that he has already proved that he is the better fighter.
"What is it, best of five? How many times do I have to beat this man? After this fight I want to move on to bigger and better things. James has no title, he is now coming off a loss, I'm pretty sure I can find a better opponent now than James DeGale," said Groves.
Bookmaker Skybet (Go to Skybet ») have priced DeGale as the 4/7 favourite should the pair re-enter the ring. Groves is a 5/4 chance to make it three wins in a row over DeGale.
