European Championship Darts Betting Tips
Phil Taylor returned back to the top of the darting world with his 12th World Matchplay title in Blackpool last week, now he is looking to land a double blow by winning the European Championships this weekend.
Taylor has won each of the previous three European Championship titles but went into last week’s event with his form under serious scrutiny. But, like he has done countless times in the past, he bounced back with an emphatic tournament win. This time he did so with a tournament three-dart average of well in excess of 100.00 beating the in-form James Wade and Wes Newton along the way.
So can he make it back-to-back tournament victories? Blue Square (Go to Blue Square ») make him a 7/5 chance to do so, and if he continues his form of last week then that price could look rather silly in a couple of days time.
However, the player worth taking a gamble on is Paddy Power (Go to Paddy Power ») 66/1 outsider John Part. He is back amongst the big boys following a return to form in the early part of this season, and whilst he has yet to show his best in front of the cameras this season there have been signs that he could do so soon
A nine-darter in defeat to Mark Webster at the first round stage of the World Matchplay was the clearest indication that if he gets things together he could be a force to be reckoned with this weekend.
