Trump Takes PTC Title

Judd Trump won the second Players Tour Championship event of the season with a 4-0 win over Ding Junhui in the final of the event at the South West Snooker Academy in Gloucester.

The 21-year-old made breaks of 81, 68 and 121 on his way to taking the £10,000 prize money and 2,000 ranking points.

However, the youngster wasn’t entirely happy with his performance over the course of the week.

“I didn't play well up until the last 16 but then I beat Neil Robertson 4-3 on the last black and after that I found some form from somewhere,” said Trump after his win.

“I didn't practise enough for the start of the season because I wanted to enjoy myself after what happened at the Crucible. It's a long, tough season and everyone wants to be beat me now. So it's nice to win another tournament because it makes my opponents fear me more.”

Trump was a beaten finalist at last season’s World Championships but really made his mark in the game with his expansive shot selection and exuberant play.

Boyle Sports (Go to Boyle Sports ») price him at 8/1 to win the upcoming Premier League title and 10/1 to win the 2012 World Championships.
