Juddmonte International Stakes Betting

Await The Dawn is the odds-on favourite for today’s Juddmonte International Stakes as trainer Aidan O’Brien looks to make it three victories in the last four runnings of the race.

Aidan O’Brien’s son Joseph will ride the Bay Colt as he looks for his first British Group One success. And the bookmakers clearly think that he will as Await The Dawn is set to go off as the odds-on favourite.

“I haven't ridden him in a race but I know him well at home,” said Joseph O’Brien.

“He's a lovely, big horse and you'd say he was very uncomplicated.

“His form looks good from Ascot, so hopefully he will run well.”

Henry Cecil trained duo Twice Over and Midday are next in the betting with the Khalid Abdullah owned pair ridden by Ian Mongan and Tom Queally respectively.

“Await The Dawn is a decent horse, he won over the trip at Chester and won at Royal Ascot in the Hardwicke,” admitted Cecil.

“He's a good horse and has only had six or seven runs. He's a pretty formidable opponent, but I'm going to try.”

Bookmaker Paddy Power (Go to Paddy Power ») currently price Await The Dawn at 5/6 with Midday quoted at 9/4 and Twice Over 9/2 in the betting.
