Premier League Snooker Betting: Week Two

Premier League snooker return for its second week of competition this Thursday night as Jimmy White, Mark Williams, Shaun Murphy and Ronnie O’Sullivan congregate on the Guildford Spectrum.

Jimmy White plays Mark Williams in the first of the night’s semi-finals with The Whirlwind looking to pick up his first points of the campaign following an unfortunate 3-0 loss to John Higgins last week.

At 2-0 down in his match against Higgins White cleared the colours and potted the black that would have seen him reduce his arrears to 2-1. However, after the black dropped the white cannoned around the table and finished up in the pocket, handing the frame and the match to the Scot.

White will be hoping for a little more luck this week when he takes on the Welsh Potting Machine where he is the snooker betting outsider to go through to the final. Boyle Sports (Go to Boyle Sports ») go 2/7 on the Welshman winning the race to three frames while White is the big outsider at 13/5.

The second match of the night sees two adversaries meet when O’Sullivan and Murphy go head to head. The Rocket enjoyed a run to the semi-finals of the weekend’s PTC event where Mark Selby narrowly defeated him. He goes into the comfortable surroundings of the Premier League – a tournament he was won eight times – as the 1/2 favourite to beat Murphy.
