Tour Championship Golf Betting 2011
The top 30 on the PGA Tour money list take to the field this Thursday for the season-ending Tour Championship and the small matter of the FedEx Cup and a 10 million US Dollar bonus at stake.
For those ranked outside the top five going into today’s tournament the permutations of how and where they could finish are complex and endless. For the top five – Webb Simpson, Dustin Johnson, Justin Rose, Luke Donald and Matt Kuchar – it is simple; win the Tour Championship and win the FedEx Cup.
Donald is made the strong betting favourite at odds of 13/2, with Betfred (Go to Betfred ») , to win the Tour Championship while Fedex Cup leader Webb Simpson is second favourite at 12/1 and last week’s BMW Championship winner Justin Rose is 18/1.
Rose attributed his win last weekend to a mini-tournament played between mates in the build up to Cog Hill.
“When you get away from the game mentally, and the grind of the FedEx Cup, by hanging out with some buddies, it can recharge the batteries,” said Rose.
Paddy Power Paddy Power (Go to Paddy Power ») make Rose a 9/1 chance to win the FedEx Cup. Simpson is the 11/4 favourite closely followed by 7/2.
