India v England 3rd ODI Betting

England have it all to do if they are to salvage the five-match ODI series against India. After two matches they are 2-0 down and now must win all three in order to win the series.

Fast bowler Chris Woakes has been ruled out for the series and is to be replaced in the squad by Graham Onions. However, the Durham paceman won’t join up with the squad until the fourth ODI in Mumbai, a time when the series could be already over.

Alastair Cook called on the team’s batsmen to stand up to the plate after the resounding defeat in the second ODI. The captain recognises that they must put bigger totals on the board if they are to get back into the series.

“We had excellent preparation, we got everything out of the practice games but we just haven't delivered that in the middle here,” said Cook.

England are now made the rank outsiders to win the series – they need to win all three of the remaining matches to do so – with Bet365 going 10/1 about that eventuality.

The same bookmaker offer odds of 13/10 about the more immediate matter at hand – England to win the third ODI.
