Mayweather calls out Pacquiao

Floyd Mayweather has challenged Manny Pacquiao for the two to go head-to-head in May of this year and “give the world what they want to see.”

The two boxers have been at loggerheads for years regarding the arrangement of a fight. But differing contractual demands surrounding the bought have so far stopped the fight going ahead.

Mayweather had a 90-day jail term deferred earlier this week in order for him to fulfil a contractual agreement for a fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. After the judge passed the decision the American immediately made moves to call out his rival.

“Manny Pacquiao I'm calling you out let's fight May 5 and give the world what they want to see,” said Mayweather on Twitter.

“My Jail Sentence was pushed back because the date was locked in. Step up Punk.”

Given that this fight has been mooted for many years bookmakers have long since offed prices on who would win the fight if they were to get into the ring together.

Paddy Power (Go to Paddy Power ») currently make Mayweather their 4/7 favourite, with Pacquiao at odds of 5/4 and the draw at 30/1.

If you’re looking for a little more value on the American then odds of Evens are available on him winning the fight by decision and 5/1 that he wins by knockout.
