Boxing Betting - Salita Confident Of Size Advantage
Dmitriy Salita has claimed his size advantage will be a big hurdle for Amir Khan to overcome when the two face each other tomorrow (December 5th).
Ukrainian-born Salita, who resides in New York, stated that Khan is yet to fight a true junior welterweight, despite being the current WBA champion in the division.
"I've been a junior-welterwight since I was 17 years old and I just feel over the last few months I've matured into my manpower physically and mentally and Saturday night we'll see that," he remarked.
According to the 27-year-old, he had been supposed to fight previous title-holder Andriy Kotelnik on a number of occasions before Khan won the belt and now feels that he is the champion in waiting.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the bout, he added that he has been training hard for the last 12 weeks in isolation for the match-up.
Despite Salita's confidence, he remains a 9/2 underdog with many bookmakers, including Stan James and 888Sport (Go to 888sport »).
Those looking to bet on Bolton boxer Khan can find him with Victor Chandler (Go to VCBet ») at 1/8.
