Carl Froch Confirms Next Fight
World Super Middleweight Champion Carl Froch has confirmed his next fight against Andre Ward.
Froch has confirmed the bout which will take place in Atlantic City's Boardwalk on October 29 later this year. It will be the 30th fight for the 34-year-old.
“Not only is it for two world titles, but it's for the tournament trophy and The Ring belt is also on the line,” said Froch.
“It makes this the biggest and the most prestigious fight to happen for as far back as I can remember. My punching power is far superior to Ward's. This will prove to be the deciding factor.”
Froch is pound for pound arguably the best boxer in the world and he has only suffered one defeat which came at the hands of Dane Michael Kessler. He saw off the challenge of Glen Johnson in his last fight to set up the bout against the highly rated 27-year-old American.
The fight is the grand finale of the Super Six tournament which has been running through the Super Middleweight division. Froch is likely to be odds on favourite for the bout once prices are confirmed.
