Gerrard: Results Will Come

The Captain Said They Have Turned The Corner

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has claimed that the team's recent performances should be the prelude to some success in the future.

Despite being held to a 0-0 draw by Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux, Gerrard claimed the Reds are now a very difficult team to get three points against.

Commenting on the goalless match, he admitted that "it was a frustrating and difficult game".

He remarked: "Wolves defended well and the pitch was difficult to string passes together on."

According to the England international, there are positive elements to take away from the mid-week contest, including the fact that Liverpool remain undefeated in their last four or five outings.

"We will keep fighting for this fourth place," he remarked, adding that with a run of home fixtures to come, the club's luck might begin to turn around.

The Anfield team next face Bolton Wanderers and are 4/9 favourites with both Boyle Sports (Go to Boyle Sports ») and Skybet (Go to Skybet ») to come away victorious.
