Wolves Double Fails To Lengthen Relegation Odds
Wolverhampton Wanderers secured a second victory over sixth-place Tottenham Hotspur last night (February 10th), but they remain one of the favourites to get relegated.
Currently sitting 15th in the Premier League table, Wolves are 11/10 with both Victor Chandler (Go to VCBet ») and Boyle Sports (Go to Boyle Sports ») to be playing in the Championship next season.
Mick McCarthy's side completed the double over Spurs with a 1-0 home victory, having beaten the London-based team with the same score at White Hart Lane last year.
David Jones clinched the goal in the 27th minute after latching on to a Matt Jarvis cross, who himself could have easily got a penalty soon after he was clipped by Michael Dawson in the box.
Despite chances from Niko Kranjcar and Dawson, Harry Redknapp's men were unable to hit the net, leaving them one point behind Manchester City, who also have two games in hand.
Wolves will host Premier League leaders Chelsea on February 20th, who themselves lost points to Everton yesterday.
