Fergie Thinks League Battle 'will Be Tense'
Sir Alex Ferguson is predicting a tight finish to the Premier League this season after he saw his Manchester United side return to the top of the table.
The Reds beat Fulham 3-0 at home thanks to a brace from Wayne Rooney and one from Dimitar Berbatov.
Following this result, United are now two points clear of Chelsea, but they have a game in hand.
"You have to think about goal difference," said Ferguson. "We are only four goals ahead of Chelsea, I wish it was 14 to be honest, but at least it is in our advantage."
The bookies are finding it equally difficult to decide who will win, with William Hill (Go to William Hill ») and Coral (Go to Coral ») both offering odds of 6/4 on either team lifting the title.
However, after he took his tally to 25 league goals for the season, Wayne Rooney is favourite to finish as top scorer, with Totesport (Go to Totesport ») quoting a price of 1/4.
