Valencia considering Man U move
Wigan Athletic player Antonio Valencia could be moving to Manchester United after an alleged offer of up to £18 million was made. The Premier League champions have competition for the midfielder from Spanish giants Real Madrid, who recently signed the United number seven Christiano Ronaldo. Chairman of Wigan David Whelan has said that it is Valencia's decision which club he ends up at. "We are just waiting for him to come back from holiday. We have had offers that are acceptable to Wigan Athletic, around the £14-£18 million mark, but what we will finish up with I don't know," he said. Whelan confirmed that he will talk to the winger about his future at the club and stated that he is an "outstanding player". Manchester United remain favourites to claim a third consecutive Premier League title next season, despite the loss of Ronaldo. Bookmaker William Hill (Go to William Hill ») has the Old Trafford side at 7/4 to retain the trophy. Chelsea are second-favourites at 5/2 with Betdaq (Go to Betdaq »).
