Football Betting - Chelsea Still Favourites Despite Cole Fracture

Chelsea remain the favourites to lift this season's Premier League trophy despite the fact that left-back Ashley Cole may be sidelined for a long time with a depressed tibia fracture.

Bookmaker 888Sport (Go to 888sport ») currently has the Blues at 10/11 following their 1-0 victory over Manchester United at the weekend, a match in which Cole received a pain-killing injection enabling him to play.

The injury was initially sustained during the side's 4-0 victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League in October, but a spokesperson for the club revealed that the damage has become worse and will prevent him from taking part in international games as well.

He remarked: "Ashley Cole has not been selected in the England squad for their friendly against Brazil."
