Els: I'm Sticking To The PGA Tour

Els Is Staying Around The US For The First Part Of 2010

Ernie Els has confirmed that he is hoping to recover from poor form by sticking to the PGA Tour in America for the first six months of 2010.

Currently sitting at 17th in the world rankings, the South African failed to secure a single win during the 2009 campaign.

Commenting on his decision to stay in the States, he told his website: "Taking everything into account, I felt that it was the right thing to do for my golf."

According to the 40-year-old, this will also enable him to limit the amount of travelling he is required to do during the first portion of the year.

Els is presently playing in the Sony Open at Waialae Country Club in Hawaii, a tournament in which he lifted the trophy in both 2003 and 2004.

However, the odds of him winning the event his year are slightly longer with Skybet (Go to Skybet ») offering him at 40/1.

Ladbrokes (Go to Ladbrokes ») has Zach Johnson as the favourite at 7/1.
