Nicholls: Twist Is In Good Form
Paul Nicholls has claimed Twist Magic is looking healthy for the Victor Chandler chase tomorrow (January 23rd).
The trainer said he hoped the horse is "happier in himself" following some impressive recent performances.
"Twist Magic is fine and I am very happy with him," he remarked: "He was beaten in the race two years ago, which is a slight concern."
According to the handler, the runner had been a "certainty" for that particular outing, but failed to live up to expectations.
However, Nicholls suggested that it could have just been a poor run of form, as Twist Magic "ran a shocker" in the 2009 Champion Chase also.
This year's line-up sees the Tingle Creek Chase victor face opposition from Petit Robin and Well Chief, with the former offered at 9/4 with bookmakers, including Betfred (Go to Betfred ») and Blue Square (Go to Blue Square »).
However, Twist Magic remains the bookies' favourite and can be found at odd of 5/4.
