Nolan: Shinrock Paddy Is 100%
Shinrock Paddy has recovered from an injury and is fit to race in the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham, the horse's trainer has stated.
Paul Nolan said that while Paddy also has an entry to the Neptune Investment, the three-mile Albert Bartlett is the more likely event.
Nolan remarked: "He just got a bit of infection in one of his heels last month but he is 100 per cent now and we will head straight to the Festival with him."
According to the handler, having won a Grade One previously, the horse has failed to meet expectations since.
Rushing the runner might not be the best idea and it is likely he will be given a gallop on the grass before being sent off to Cheltenham, he added.
Shinrock Paddy is one of the favourites to romp home first in the feature, with Victor Chandler (Go to VCBet ») and William Hill (Go to William Hill ») both offering odds of 7/1.
