Wigglesworth To Leave Sharks

Wigglesworth Has Been At The Club For Nine Years

Sale Sharks are to be without scrum-half Richard Wigglesworth at the end of the current season after the rugby player announced his move to the Saracens.

Wigglesworth has been with the Sharks since rising up from its academy in 2002 and has enjoyed lifting the Championship with the team at Twickenham in 2006, as well as being capped by England five times in the last nine years.

Kingsley Jones, director of rugby at Sale Sharks, said of the news: "Richard has given Sale Sharks excellent service and I would like to thank him for that. He is a very popular member of the squad."

The player added his own comments, saying that he was sad to leave the club that has given him his professional start and he will be putting in as good a performance as possible until the day he leaves.
