Johnson: I've Warned The Players Not To Get Carried Away

Johnson Said He Was Pleased With The Victory

Martin Johnson has told his England rugby union players that they should not get carried away after defeating Wales 30-17 in the Six Nations.

Jonny Wilkinson provided half of the points from kicks, while James Haskell scored two tries and Danny Care one.

Commenting on the performance, Johnson stated that he is pleased the team achieved the win after so much hard work.

"I said in the changing room, 'You have to enjoy this, enjoy playing Test rugby'," he remarked. "But we will be back in Monday and we start work again."

According to the former international, the triumph was narrower than he would have liked, but it helped the squad members to realise how they have to perform in big games.

England next face Italy - the tournament underdogs at 750/1 with Betfred (Go to Betfred ») - on Valentine's Day, a match that bookmaker Blue Square (Go to Blue Square ») has them at 1/6 to come away with a win.
