Button: I Will Be 100% For 2010
Jenson Button has stated his desire to be completely ready for the 2010 Formula One World Championship season.
According to the reigning title holder, it is important that he is fully prepared in plenty of time before the first race even begins, the Sun reports.
"There's a lot of work to do before we even think of stepping into the car," he said. "That's what I am going to do now so I am 100 per cent ready."
Button also highlighted the importance of standing at the top of the podium after the first event, as eight out of the last ten drivers to do so have gone on to lift the trophy at the end of the campaign.
Racing for new team McLaren for the first time, the 30-year-old was quick to insist that the equipment and support he has received is on an equal footing to that of primary driver Lewis Hamilton.
Sportingbet (Go to Sportingbet ») currently considers Hamilton the favourite to win this year at 4/1, while WBX (Go to WBX ») is offering odds of 87/10 on Button being victorious for the second time in a row.
