Whitmarsh: I'm Happy With McLaren Drivers
McLaren is set to prosper in this year's Formula One season thanks to its competitive drivers Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button, according to the team's principal.
Critics have shown concern that McLaren will have a hard time juggling two ambitious drivers without favouring one, but Martin Whitmarsh believes that the duo will only help to propel the team to "bigger things".
"Knowing Lewis as I do and having got to know more of Jenson
I feel relatively confident that our driver line-up this year will be a very stable," he explained.
He added that this campaign will be tougher than in 2009, but both Button and Hamilton will be able to show their understanding and collaboration skills to share the expertise of the team as a whole.
Victor Chandler (Go to VCBet ») is currently offering odds of 5/2 that Hamilton will land the Championship this year, while Sportingbet (Go to Sportingbet ») has Button at 12/1.
