Meli returns to St Helens

Francis Meli has secured a visa

St Helens have been boosted by the return of Francis Meli, who has not featured for the club since the Grand Final defeat to Leeds Rhinos in October.Problems with securing a visa have kept the former New Zealand winger, who played for Samoa in the World Cup, out for the first five games of the season. But having now arrived back in the country, Saints head coach Mick Potter revealed that although Meli is fit, he is unlikely to appear in tomorrow's visit of the defending champions."You can't step off a plane and expect him to be ready for a big Super League game like that," said Potter, adding that Meli has a "big chance" of playing for the reserves instead.Meanwhile, the Rhinos, who are top of the table with a 100 per cent record from their first five matches, welcome back Keith Senior and Matt Diskin to their squad.Betfair currently gives the hosts a slight advantage at 10/11, with Leeds rated at evens.
