Greg Eastwood to play in Super League
New Zealand second row Greg Eastwood has been granted permission to join Leeds Rhinos in the Super League next season.
The 22-year-old was stopped from making his debut at the British club this year by the UK Border Agency, but he has now been cleared to play after appealing the visa decision.
Eastwood, who made his name at Brisbane Broncos, has been playing for the Bulldogs in Australia while his case was being heard, but Leeds boss Brian McClennan claimed he is now looking forward to heading to the UK.
"He's really happy to become a Rhino now," he told BBC Radio Leeds. "He's enjoyed being at the dogs but he wants to get over here."
Leeds currently lie second in the Super League, two points behind leaders St Helens.
They are second favourites to the win the title at Betfair (Go to Betfair »), where they are available at 6/4. St Helens are 5/4 to triumph at Boyle Sports (Go to Boyle Sports »).
