Rugby League Betting - Tomkins: England Will Play Even Better In Four Nations
Half-back Super League player of the year Sam Tomkins has stated England will be even better against their Four Nations opponents after defeating Wales 48-12 in Bridgend on Saturday (October 17th).
Tomkins, who scored three tries in the match, said the side still has areas to work on, but noted that it was a promising beginning to the campaign.
"We'll be a lot better against France on Friday night and better still against the Aussies and Kiwis later on in the tournament," he added.
England are currently considered 6/1 second favourites with Betfred (Go to Betfred ») to lift the title, however Sportingbet (Go to Sportingbet ») deems Australia the most likely to come out on top and offers odds of 4/11 that this will occur.
According to the 20-year-old Tomkins, his performance against Wales could make it tough for England coach Tony Smith leave him out of the side for the tournament.
"Hopefully, I'll be part of his plans," he said.
